Oxford NMGB003 MGB Roadster British Racing Green 1:148 Scale
The much-loved MGB Roadster decorated in the favourite British Racing Green. Complemented with a black interior and tonneau cover, it is registered NTE 453K from 1971/72. The British Motor Corporation (BMC) introduced the MGB two-seater, soft top sports car in 1963 and it went on in production under British Leyland right up until 1980.
First models rolled off the production line in 1962 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later the Austin-Morris division of British Leyland, as a four-cylinder, soft-top sports car. It was announced and its details first published on 19 September 1962. Variants include the MGB GT three-door 2+2 coupé (1965–1980), the six-cylinder sports car and coupé MGC (1967–69), and the eight-cylinder 2+2 coupé, the MGB GT V8 (1973–76).
Development of the MGB started at least as early as 1958 with the prototype known by its Abingdon codename; MG EX205. In structure the car was a progressive, modern design in 1962, using a unitary structure, instead of the traditional body-on-frame construction used on both the MGA and MG T-types and the MGB's rival, the Triumph TR series. However, components such as brakes and suspension were developments of the earlier 1955 MGA, with the B-Series engine having its origins in 1947. The lightweight design reduced manufacturing costs while adding to overall vehicle strength.
The MGB was discontinued in 1980, after 18 years of production.
This is a 1:148 N scale model in British Racing Green, so very small, difficult to capture the minute detail. It comes on a plinth, with a clear case lid and Oxford Automobile

United Kingdom Delivery
We endeavour to process all orders same working day. Orders between £0.00 and £149.99 will be charged from £3.95 for Standard Delivery (2-5 working days) with Royal Mail. Standard Delivery for orders £150.00 or more will be delivered free of charge by Royal Mail.
Orders can be upgraded to Royal Mail 1st Class (1-2 working days) for just £5.99, or to Next Working Day Delivery with DPD Local for £11.95.
Next working day delivery is only available for UK Mainland. Islands, Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands will need to select a Royal Mail Service as we are unable to offer a next day service to these areas.
Aerosols and certain glues can only be shipped by courier and so will attract an extra charge, each item will be highlighted, and courier postage charged as standard.
Orders placed between Friday at 1pm and Sunday evening will be dispatched the following Monday. We are closed on Wednesday so orders placed after 2pm Tuesday will be dispatched on Thursday. All goods are subject to availability and all delivery dates are approximate. Please take into consideration when ordering from us that we reserve the right to charge for any re-delivery attempt and return to sender charges.
Worldwide Delivery
We endeavour to process all orders same working day. All orders will be charged a minimum rate of £24.95, delivered by Royal Mail Air Mail as standard. Large orders will be dispatched by courier, where extra postage is due, we will contact you and advise. Insurance is not included but is required on high value items.
